Relativity.

I have noticed that some people are not as tall as I think that they must be.  It has something to do with age though it also has to do with folk looking like people I knew when I myself was quite short.  The gist is that people that seem older than me also sometimes seem taller than me even when they absolutely are not.

My three eldest siblings, for example, are impressed in my mind as being much taller than me.  I know that Stephanie is at least three inches shorter than me but that doesn’t stop my mental image of her from being rather towering.  (Additionally, I think that realistically I could probably fare pretty well in a fight against her, but I’ve also got it in my mind that she would tear me up without breaking a sweat, so I daren’t ever try.)

Erin and Jeremy are the same.  I think of them as being taller even though they are shorter and just about the same height respectively.  I guess this must be an artifact of the mental image I created of them in my childhood that I have simply never replaced.

I hope that you use this information responsibly.
